Not only did I have the book, but I had the video. {still shots of the pages- nothing to fabulous aside from giving my Mother's voice a rest} I'm sure I watched it multiple times a day and when it came to the end I would pause the video and run, as Critter did, to MY Mom to give her a hug "just for her". Because I'm sure I wore my mom's copy of the book out, she gave me my own *brand new* copy when I moved out of the house {or at least shortly thereafter}. I could hardly wait to read it to my children. Almost a decade later here we are, reunited again.A few months ago Michael and I were at a bookstore and I was trying to get him to understand my obsession. He didn't. Apparently he didn't have a favorite book growing up, but after MUCH coaxing he finally uttered the words "Where the Sidewalk Ends."
Anyway, I've enjoyed reading all kinds of books to Rylee. She tires of it before I do, but I'm certain, with time, those roles will change. At any rate, what is YOUR {or your child's} favorite children's book?

My favorite children's book is if you give a mouse a cookie. I can still remember mrs. Walker (lindon elementary) reading that to us. She had the best story voice. I read it to my kids all the time and they love all the books like it. Fun post. I love little critter too.
Confession: Children's Books are my obsession.
My favorite as a child though, was the Seasmae Street Classic, "There's a Monster at the End of this book."
Many hours have been logged in my pink hand-me-down rocker with my two sweet boys. Reading to my kids calms me more than it does them!
Karston and Kyle love all David Shannon books and Karston can now read them on his own! (Okay so they are probably memorized...)
I love to see your little family together! Hope to see you soon!
no fighting no biting- it was a book about 2 baby crocodiles i used to read to my little brothers
You know Katie & Sibby loved those books too! You know Chase's favorite is SkippyJonJones & the pussycat (wink) chiwawa (I know thats not spelled right) & Jack's House because it has big trucks in it. I loved little critter too! And the Berenstein Bears.
Danny & the Dinosaur!!!
That is my most favorite children's book. I think I have about three copies. A hard cover, a soft cover, and some collectable book. I think I read it a million times as a kid. It is great! Peyton doesn't really like to sit still for it, but I will read it to myself!
Natalie likes "you are special." It is a cute book and is always a good one to read.
Too many to name them all. I loved Berenstein Bears, and anything by Richard Scarry. I really like the book "Tuesday," which actually doesn't have any words at all but great illustrations! I pick out new favorites every time I go to the bookstore. That's why I loved working in the children's department at Barnes and Noble. :)
