My technical woes are OVER!!

So we've had computer issues the last two + weeks and I almost died. On Mother's day after I made that lovely post honoring and singing praises to the women in my life I tried to get back on the computer to do various other things and to my dismay the computer decided it didn't want to turn on. Lucky for us, we had an extended warranty on the computer and we saved ourselves over $700 (thus the cost of a computer). We now have a new motherboard and other various computer parts I know nothing about, along with a virus being removed and now, it works like a dream. Its amazing how much of our lives is spent in front of the computer. I mean, I've acctually had to call people for directions instead of using google.

One good AND bad thing about no computer is that I wasn't able to work. Frustrating at times yes, but I'll be honest it was kindof nice to only work one part time job for a couple weeks. I really enjoyed the extra trish time and got some good crafting in. (of which I'll post pictures of later).

I've missed the wonderful world of blogging and I'll just say it's good to be back :)

Near Death Experience

So I had a near death experience the other day. I was able to get the video from the city, luckly. Trish and I were driging and she was talking about how a terrible driver I was because I was on my phone playing solitaire while driving with my knees and rocking out to Bon Jovi. Apparently she doesn't think i'm capable of multi-tasking! What women are the only ones who can multi-task?!? Well sure enough she got me distracted, I can only do sooo much. And you can see what happened next.

Because of my superior driving skills I was able to avoid any wreck. Thank you very much!

(If anyone believes this, please make sure that you leave your credit card number and expiration date as a comment!)

Pay it Forward

I've seen others do this and thought it would be fun!

How it works: The FIRST THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a hand-made gift from ME. What it will be and when it will arrive will be a total surprise. The CATCH is that YOU MUST PLAY TOO! Before you leave your comment here, write a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (you can cut and paste these instructions). Then come back and let me know that you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift.

Love These Ladies!

I am very grateful for all the AMAZING women in my life. . . if you are reading this, be 100% positive you are one of them (even if your pretty face itsn't in one of the pictures below). I've learned so much from each woman in my life and you all make me want to be a better wife and friend! Thank You!! and I Love You!!

What'ya think?

I did the dreaded last week and went to the optomitrist. I don't know exactly why I dislike about that particular Dr. Most people dread the Dentist, I rather enjoy sitting in THAT chair. It most likely could be the fact that I don't like failing. . . . and passing those stupid eye exams is something that I just can't do on my own. Beyond that, I try to invision what the Dr acctually looks like instead of listening to what he is saying. (because I have to take my contacts OUT before actually meeting said dr.) Then there's the whole 30 minute A or B, 1 or 2 phiasco . . . . . but as much as I dislike GOING to the eye dr, I love LEAVING. As I drove away I thought, "oh, I guess it isn't normal to be constantly squinting" and the infamous "you mean trees have leaves?" Driving is a whole new ball game when you can actually read the road signs.

I must say, this was the first in 21 years I was actually EXCITED for a pair of glasses! What do you think? It's hard to see in the photo, but they've got "bling" on the sides. And, I got a haircut. Now, your homework is for all my nephews and nieces is to study this photo so they will recognize which aunt mauls them in T-minus two months.

An Enchanting Day!

Baaaahhh! So, that title is a bit cheesy, {ok, alot cheesy} but we really did have an awesome day! We decided to take a little day trip up to Fredericksburg {a little German town about an hour northwest of SA} We've been wanting to make it up that way since we moved here, there's one thing we can cross off our 'list'.

We/I had a blast walking around all the little shops down main street. Some of our/my favorites were the scrapbook store, numerous quilt/ jewelry/ craft/ home decor shops, {Michael is SUCH a good sport} and a HUGE sauce & spice store. I kid you not they had AT LEAST a billion different sauces, salsas, dips, and chips. . . . all for your tasting pleasure. We snatched up a little yummy basil pesto and some key lime fudge. (the only non-chocolate number. . . . also my fav flavor) YUM. We also viewed our fair share of Texas paraphernalia shops where we learned "In Texas, Farting is a Competetive Sport". You better pray we have your name for Christmas because we baught the last trucker cap and coffee mug with that amazing quote.

We then went a little further up the road to Enchanted Rock State Park. It's a 425 ft "pink" rock. We hiked to the top and had a little looksy at the beautiful Texas Hill-Country. I was in LOVE with the drive. . . . Spring in South Texas=WILDFLOWERS!! All along the highway are these pretty wild flowers, green trees, rolling hills, and roaming 'livestock'. I may have miss-labeled said livestock, but that's not important.

Ok, I know you're thinking the ground looks brown to you . . .but it did have a kind of 'pink' tint to it. . . some Indian tribe said Spaniards cast a spell on it and turned it a funky color. Hopefully we can make it back again soon. We ended the day eating "authentic" German cuisine. I'll stick to burgers and french fries. :)

Sexiest Man Alive

So says People Magazine. {its a shame I didn't nominate Michael in time.} I'm not 100% convinced about that {sorry Paige} but, I'll give you that he's a fabulous actor.
We saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine last night and boy was it a good one. Go ahead and call me a comic geek, or as some may say 'comic educated' although. . . I'M not really educated, simply entertained. Anyway. . . . loved the movie and very excited for theaters this summer.
