Little Smiles

I took this video a week ago - but about 10 days before that I learned that if I wiggled on her chin a little bit she'd smile for me. She's starting to smile more but it's still not super consistent {and easier in the morning}. I'll take what I can get. enjoy.

Aunt Missy

We said good-bye to Michael's parents and five hours later was on our way to the airport to pick up my sister and her family!

Rylee got to puke on her aunt missy for six whole days!!! I loved having family in town for Easter! {Although, I don't recommend trying to buy plastic eggs on saturday night - unless you like rummaging through return carts for something. . . . anything the easter bunny could hide candy in}.

Chase was so fun! We had a hunt in the backyard and for the life of us he couldn't find that book. you know, the one in the bush. right at his eye level. that he is practically touching right now. too cute.

Rylee and her easter take - a chocolate bunny and a book from Grandma.
Chase loved holding "baby Ryree" ESPECIALLY when she had the hiccups. Which is a near daily occurance.
We spent the rest of the week going to Sea World {twice}, chuck-e-cheese, outlet shopping, down-town seeing, dinner eating, hog hunting, Mexican candy puking, swimming, and of course re-united our band and rocked the world. I love that I now get to see first hand cousin interaction. Chase climbed in bed with Rylee and they may have both been mezmerized by the mobile.
We, along with the rest of South Texas, took pictures in one of the many bluebonnet fields. Since we moved here everyone talked about all the bluebonnets and until this spring (thanks to a wet winter), I thought they were lying.
Sure love my Sis and am SOOO glad they came to see us! It breaks my heart not knowing when I'll see her next :(

WI Allsop's

As always, we had a blast with Michael's parents and sister. We checked out The Natural Bridge Caverns
The Missions (a first for us as well)

Sea World
And, of course held their first grand-daughter / neice to their hearts content.

Blessed

Rylee was blessed a couple Sunday's ago. I was so proud of us all for not only going to church for the first time, but actually being on time! (our church starts at 8:30 people! and it's NOT just around the corner) Since it wasn't fast Sunday we had the crew over to our house for the blessing and lunch.

Here she is in her dress. {we got it from a quencinera (sp?) shop because apparently it wasn't "baby season" and I was unwilling to spend my life savings on a wear it once dress} She did very good all day and why wouldn't she? she was in 'hold me heaven' In true Rylee fashion she hiccuped through the entire blessing. We were so happy to have BOTH of our parents in town for the event!
-Michael with his parents-
My Dad-

My Mom, Me and Rylee. Sure missed My Grandma for this pic!
The men.

My parents were here just for the weekend, and Michael's stayed through the week. It was hard to be away from the rest of our family - I guess that's kinda what blogs are for.

now what??

After 16 straight days of visitors, I sit here in my quiet house and wonder "now what do I do?"

answer: take a nap.

I'll blog about our amazing fun later and simply thank them for coming - we miss you already.

Thank you Uncle Sam!

So being first time home owners has a few perks every now and then. We just received our tax return, inlcuding the $8,000.00 tax credit for first time home buyers. Now some of you out there may say the following:

1. "Sweet, lets go to Vegas and get rich!"

2. "You know how much peanut butter you can buy with that! Life time supply baby!"

3. "Let me tell you about my brother-in-law, he knows this great opportunity to invest in that money into a multi-level fish bait that will guarantee a fish everytime."

4. You add your own....

As for me and my house, (like that scripture reference?) we paid off our car loan and credit card debt. Yea it is lame but man does it feel good!

Sea World

Rylee's first trip to Sea World and this is what she thought about it:
So, we fed her to Shamu.
We, on the other hand, had a fabulous time.
