her shirt says it all

That's right. My auntie is the best!! Rylee here giving a little shout out to one of her many fabulous aunts (she has fabulous uncles too). But one imparticular. . . .

Shortly after annoucing my pregnancy I got a package in the mail with a note stating once a month she would send me her favorite baby items!! genious. It was so much fun anticipating what each month's gift would be! Everyone I told said it was the best idea and wished they would have done (or will in the future) that with their sister, neice, daughter, friend etc. I was often asked "so what did your sister send this month" It made us feel so special and loved. Here's the top picks:

-Boppy
-Onsie Extenders
-Bumbo
-Sleeping Gowns (in both genders - just in case)
-Babywise
-Pampers SWADDLERS
-Leather Infant Shoes
and the best of all we get HER for a WHOLE WEEK when she comes to see us in April!!!

Thanks Aunt Missy!!! Love your guts!!!

He or Me?

Y'all knew this was coming. . . . . a "Who does she look like?" post, Mom or Dad? So far most have a said a mix, or a "Wright". I couldn't decided and after a little digging found some baby pictures. Of course I found myself first and thought "oh, she TOTALLY looks like me"

(Trish)
(Rylee)

I continued searching anyway, and found this:
(Michael)
and my hopes were shattered. Ok, not really but seriously (aside from her nose) she's a spitting image of her Daddy!!! If I didn't change her diapers every day . . . . . . .

{I've always said the Allsop gene is dominant~I think all of Michaels siblings look SO much alike}

At any rate, what do YOU think?

Good News and Bad News

Right after we got home from the hospital our computer decided it no longer wanted to turn on. So 6 days before the warranty expired we took it in. Turns out the motherboard was damaged. again. This being the third time we've had serious problems with this computer we get a replacement. New computer, new warranty, great right? well, almost . . . . .

Since the computer is unable to turn on we have no access to the data ON the computer. We did a major back-up probably 8 months ago but since then I tried very dutifully to take a picture of my growing belly every week for what would become the cutest record of one's pregnancy. {I can say that because instead of 30 pictures, I have 3 and this said album will never exist}. I am so disappointed {I can say THAT now, because I'm a Mother}. Until the 6 disks of info load I won't know what else we lost- what a pain!

I am thankful that we bought the extended warranty, and we have a new {even better} computer, AND that the camera cord is still missing because I would have uploaded all of Rylee's pictures from the first 5 days of her life on that computer never to be seen again. You know how they say "once on the internet always on the internet" If anyone knows how to find things that were once posted on the blog and is there no longer I'd appreciate it. (ie the photos on my sidebar)

Its a GIRL!!

Here's a little video montage/pictures of Rylee. I couldn't get the song I wanted to upload so it's music-less. Sorry. Although you 'country-music-haters' out there would have muted the sound anyway.

Love at first sight is kindof an understatement. It was really cool to have Michael announce to me "it's a girl" and the Dr's all sang "Happy Birthday". We're all recovering nicely - taking it easy at home. It was great to have my Mom here for a few days. I guess life is now "back to normal" although I have NO IDEA what that means - so far it's been me staring at my baby girl. I suppose we'll figure it out :)
