Michael suprised me with tickets to the Rodeo on Friday night. There are a few things I found different/interesting or that I found laking/liked about the San Antonio's rodeo:
1. It's indorrs. I mean, how can you go to a rodeo w/o having to walk through horse crap?
2. Because the horse crap hasn't been in the arena for decades it doesn't reak.
2. They don't serve Strawberry's and Cream :(
3. No wild cow milk
4. It's nightly for about 3 weeks!
5. The carnival has a TILT-A-WHIRL!!!
6. ALL carnival rides, all day, on Friday are $1 !!!
7. After the rodeo they bring in a 'rotating' stage and have concerts . . . The performance of the evening was the Goo-Goo Dolls.
8. It's filmed and on the jumbo-tron and you get to see killer instant replays of the cowboys and bull-fighters getting worked over!!
We had a great pre-Valentine's date night! Michael may be convinced we should celebrate on the 13th EVERY year, we didn't even have to wait to be seated at dinner!
As for 'actual' Valentine's day we were chaperones to the youth multi-stake dance. We even acted as a taxi taking all the youth in our ward to and from the dance. Michael (Bro Allsop. . . I have a hard time calling him that in front of the kids) even gave the boys private dance lessons . . then he and another one of our friends went in the middle of a dance circle to show off their 'moves' too bad I'm too short (even with 3 inch heels) to see over the heads of 14 year olds- and I didn't get to see the action myself. . . . maybe we'll volunteer for next months dance for a re-play :) It actually was kinda fun and I got a dance or two out of michael myself.
I've come to a conclusion that I, at times, am more immature than the youth I "lead". Do I have to grow up???
