Texan

It's offical. I'm a Texan.
It took phone calls/letters from insurance agencies in two states to push me to action. sad. i know. Why it took me over a year to make it offical you might ask? Well:
1. I'm a procrastinator
2. I hate waiting in the line at the DLD/DMV (I can handle other long lines ie grocery store, shopping, post office, but NOT the DLD)
3. I'm cheap (though registering the cars was the actually expensive part)
4. I didn't want to part with that little card that says "utah" on it

Now I no longer have to fear being pulled over and fined for what 'technically' should have been done 30 days after we moved here. oops.

*on a side note* i've really been into "lists" lately

Tagged: Ten T's

I've Tagged to list ten things I like that begin with the letter T (in no particular order):

1. Trish (I'm a big fan of myself . . . and I couldn't resist)
2. Trashy TV (if I were playing scategories I'd get Two points for that one!)
3. Thursday Nights (Date night w Michael . . . usually)
4. Texas
5. Throw (you know, a little QUILT )
6. Tax-rebate's (at least when I USED to get them)
7. Treats
8. Time-off
9. Text's
10. Three (kinda a stretch I know- I was trying to coordinate scrapbooking/photography and the element of three's is used for both. I like the look of "three's" or the number 3 itself I guess)

I tag:
Melissa - C
Natalie - S
Jenn - R
Or any other reader. . . . feel free.

Let's Talk 24

OK, so I am really enjoying this season so far. I think there is a little bit of a different element to the show now that CTU is no longer in existence. And, its EAST coast. It's interesting because it was a few episodes in and I noticed there was usually one or two lines in the episode that would really make me laugh or smile that were, as I will call it, 'classic' 24. So much, that I've decided to add said lines to our blog (incase you haven't noticed). It actually has been kinda fun- and if you 'west-coasters' want a sneak peak at what will be coming your way after I've already watched the show, feel free to let me "spoil" the evening for you. Last night was probably one of my favorites so far.

my thoughts:

-I {heart} Tony
-I'm liking the female pres.
-When are they going to just come out with the fact that Walker and Moss have a thing? I'm kinda sad about it and hope that she doesn't write off Jack entirely. (he needs someone with a back bone)
-Why did Bill have to die? I know it was a sacrifice for the greater good but COME ON!! (although he did look like he aged 40 yrs)
-Michael still wants chloe dead and was upset that Morris didn't let her rott in prison
-I am a little surprised at how emotionally stable jack is (remember how season 6 ended)
-Jack's kill count is kinda low

the scoop

I did promise to fill you in on all the fun and fabulous things we've been up to these past few weeks. Read away-
Two weekends ago my parents came to visit! I don't have any pictures to document the occation- mostly because the pictures would consist of us watching a movie (we averaged two per day- most of which were bad acting, good message type films), my mom and I talking to 3 am, eating, or planing out OUR visit to UT. It was wonderful! We did manage to make it to the temple one evening. It was so great to see them- I can't believe it had been a whole year! We took M&D to the airport on Saturday and were back again to pick up our friends Marlo, Kimmie and their ADORABLE little girl London on Monday.
Michael served his mission with Marlo, and it turns out I was at Snow College the same time as both Marlo & Kimmie (I'm sure we SAW one another but didn't know each other at the time). We are so happy they were able to take off a whole week and come play with us!
Mike and I had to work half of the week so we sent them down town, to the zoo and the temple, then Thursday we all headed to Corpus Christi to get our fill of sand and salt water. We had this AWESOME little condo on the beach. We probably spent more time on the balcony than anything. It was GORGEOUS! The only downer was the wind did not stop blowing, so it was a little cold but that didn't stop me from playing in the waves and dragging Michael in the water with me. It was the apitomy of rest and relaxation. I finished my book, broke in my new bathing suit, and spent our fair share of time in the crock pot aka hot tub.
Whilst we were in Corpus we took a tour of the USS Lexington: a battleship used in a number of wars, WWII being one of them. It was pretty interesting - I didn't realize how self sustaining a ship is. I mean Dentist/Dr offices on board and everything. My appreciation for those serving our country in the armed forces was definately increased.

The Blue Angels apparently did air shows often in Eau Claire so we grabbed a pic of Michael with one of the planes that made such an impact on his life.We also went to the Texas State Aquarium. I was impressed with all they had in such little space. I'm also quite partial to "hands on" exhibits- We were able to touch sting ray's, pencil urchins, and hermit crabs. They also have a couple little shows which are always fun.One of my favorite things about the beach are the beach shops. I can be such a tourist but who could resist documenting being eaten alive by a giant fake shark? This is a pic from inside a mexican restaraunt down town SA it has this HUGE 3d mural on the wall that we love, Michael just HAD to have a pic :)

And last but certainly not least the civic turned 200,000 miles! Although its been stolen (and recovered) twice we do love our little Honda.

Consider yourself informed on the happenings of the Texas Allsops.
