Maybe It's a little green afterall

Call me crazy but I get so excited to see these little plants peek through the dirt!!! We're gonna give the garden another go this spring. Here's a pic of the grow box Michael and my Dad built when my parents were out last summer. It currently is housing lettuce (which is about done) green onions and carrots. The carrots are a little small {its a learning process. . . .we'll thin better next time} The 'fall' garden survived numerous freezing temperatures and we are SO proud of ourselves! Yes we were often found outside in the wee hours of the night covering it with blankets and tarps to protect it. :)
I was a little surprised how much interest Michael has taken to what I thought would me my project. Its been fun! The 'true' test I suppose will be this spring when we plant plants that actually need to be pollinated {bees have been my nemesis thus far}. Maybe, just MAYBE I have a little bit of a green thumb afterall.

Dad would be SOO proud...of course you can grow plants...what can you NOT do is the better question Miss Talented! Counting down the days!
