What is it about a protruding belly that makes perfect strangers want to touch and talk? I didn't realize the baby bump came with a sign saying "ask me inappropriate questions" or "tell me your horror stories". Although I DO like receiving advise and parenting tips - just from someone whose opinions on the subject I actually trust OR whose name I actually know. And, I don't really feel like the register at a quilt shop is the proper place to talk birthing plans. Maybe its just me. Either way I should get used to it - it's only going to get worse.

This made me crazy. Don't touch me, ever. I was preg at the same time as a sis-in-law who thought that because we were both pregnant it was all right to talk about our uterus(es). Nope. Yuck!
I just kept as far away from people as possible!!
I truthfully didn't have very many people touching me...at least people I didn't know. I didn't really mind if people did that when I knew them, but weird otherwise. As with the comments and critiques, that will continue at least until college. :) Just follow your gut and do what works for you and your family. Take the good advice, ignore the rest. Be prepared by reading books and such, but take it all with a grain of salt...follow your instinct!
i couldn't agree more. when i was pregnant with boston, my visiting teaching companion and i were visiting a lady and she asks me, in front of the lady..."so what are you having" i say a boy. she replies, "are you going to circumsize him?" NO JOKE. *let me tell you this was the first time we even met!
Yeah its going to get worse. Wait until your belly is poking people in the head while they are laying in your chair....er....I mean coming in your quilt shop, or standing behind them in the store, or wading through large groups of people on the Black Friday sales!
If only there was a way to wire your belly with electricity so that when people touched it they would get shocked. Or you could wear a spike belt under your shirt. Just some suggestions! :)
hahahaha! oh my goodness this post cracked me up!!!
